Transient Meter Application

Please provide required information for your Transient Meter application. Failure to do so will result in a rejection of your application and you will have to re-apply from the beginning.
Please email taptechs@houstontx.gov for inquiries regarding application status or deposits.
Your application will need to be approved, the required deposit paid, and you have received a WNS number before you can request delivery of the Transient Meter. Please email transient.meters@houstontx.gov to schedule the delivery which takes 48-72 hours.

o Valid Driver's License or State ID Number
o Attach Legible copies of state driver's license and an original letter on your company Letterhead.
   *The letter should state the purpose of the Transient Meter, meter size requested, service address, billing address, valid company tax ID number, the representative’s name, phone number, e-mail, and the valid driver’s license of the company’s representative to be present must match the information in the letter. (Please be advised that the Representative is accepting responsibility for the terms of the Rental Agreement and any unauthorized use of the Transient Meter.)
